• Stroke Builder – An app that really can help you improve your swim time

Leading UK triathlon coaching company thetrilife.com has released the latest version of their popular swim app, Stroke Builder.

Since first launch last year Stroke Builder, for Apple iPhone and iPad, has been downloaded 10,000 times across the world. The app uses high definition video clips, narrated by Great Britain Olympic coach Dan Salcedo, to provide a step-by-step guide to stroke improvement, assist the athlete in identifying their own faults and illustrate a comprehensive collection of the most useful swimming drills.
Stroke Builder is organised into 3 bundles that can be downloaded separately. The Stroke Builder section breaks the stroke down into easy to digest parts and describes and demonstrates each component in turn. This section is useful for novice triathletes and swimmers that need to know the fundamentals of good swimming.
Perhaps the most popular section is the Drills Database. Even if you know what your fault is, it is not easy to know how to correct it. The Drills Database suggests a number of drills for each problem and then uses video to show the swimmer exactly how the drill should be done (drills demonstrated by ex elite triathlete Andrea Whitcombe). The app can become the coaches’ pocket drill bible for showing their athletes exactly how a drill should be performed – no longer will athletes and coaches have to resort to links to youTube videos of variable quality.

Stroke Builder is available now from the iTunes App Store http://itunes.apple.com/app/stroke-builder/id479829781
