Competing: Before taking up triathlon in 2001 Andrea was an international runner competing in six World Cross-country championships, winning a silver medal in the 1998 Commonwealth Games and running in the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the 5000m.
Andrea has finished in the top 8 in 3 World Triathlon Championships, had 4 podium placings in World Cups and have finished 4th in 3 European Championships.
