Castle Triathlon Series Training Plans

For each of the Castle Triathlon Series triathlons thetrilife.com has provided a Super Sprint Distance Training Plan, (suitable as a training plan for beginners for the Castle Triathlon Series Super Sprint), a Novice Standard Distance Training Plan (suitable as a training plan for beginners for the Castle Triathlon Series Sprint Plus and Olympic) or and Advanced Standard Distance Training Plan (suitable as a training plan for more experienced triathletes taking part in the Castle Triathlon Series Sprint Plus and Olympic), plus we have a specific plan for athletes taking part in the Gauntlet (half iron distance), which in 2018 is hosted at all the Castle Triathlon Series venues.  For those athletes facing the ultimate challenge of the Bastion, we provide Bastion 24 week training plans and Bastion 16 week training plans that will fully prepare you for this iconic event.

We also have a FREE 8 Week Training Plan for novices taking part in the Starter Sprint Triathlon.  Click here to get your copy.

Which should I choose?

If you are doing a sprint distance race (Super Sprint) then choose the Super Sprint Distance Training Plan.  After you've purchased you will be able to choose between the novice program - if you have 3-5 hours a week to train - this could be your first triathlon! Or you can choose the advanced sprint program if you have 8-10 hours a week to train - you may have completed one or more triathlons and now want to put in a great performance to beat your friends.

If you are doing one of the standard distance races (Sprint Plus and Olympic) then choose the novice standard distance program if you have 5-7.5 hours a week - this could be your first standard distance triathlon or you may wish to improve on a previous performance. Or choose the advanced standard distance program if you have 8-12 hours a week to train - you may have completed one or more standard distance triathlons and now want to be competitive in your age group.  Castle Triathlon Series plans created by Andrea Whitcombe.
