    Jane Wileymikeredshawnewsletter placed a fine 12th in her Age Group at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 5:54:32 despite limited training due to an injury.  She then finished her season off in style winning her age group at the Gauntlet Middle Distance Triathlon at Hever .

    Jim Prendergast and Pete Haigh also competed in The Gauntlet Middle Distance Triathlon, Jim battled through a painful run posting 6:07:36 and Pete, in his first race of the year, came home in 7:26:06. Solid performances.

    Nigel Turner finished IM Wales for the third time in 13:38:38. New race targets for next year on the radar.

    Steve Rice put in a solid display at the Bala Standard Distance Triathlon.

    Nigel Jones completed IM Wales in 14:52:00, just missing out on his goal time but still achieving a top 25 in his age group.lizscottnewsletter1

    Jude Hagger at the Bala Standard Distance braved chilly conditions to come 14th in her AG in 2:29:00.  At the Chicago ITU World Triathlon Champs, despite the race not going according to plan, Jude finished in 2:36:00 and also made the top 20 in her AG in the Aquathlon World Champs.

    Nicola Wignall also in Chicago, tweaked a hamstring finishing 12th in her AG in the Aquathlon. In the triathlon race Nicola pleased her coach to record the 3rd fastest swim split and 14th fastest bike split although she didn’t quite get the finish time that she hoped for.

    Barney Gray after a frustrating season, came back strong to win his AG in the New Forest Sprint Duathlon and Castle Series Chantilly Triathlon.

    James Davies at the Bristol Half Marathon continued his accumulation of PBs ahead of the Frankfurt marathon in 1:24:00. Great performance.

    Neil Feakins got on to the podium in is AG at the Bodium Sprint Distance Triathlon, 13th overall, in 1:14:00.

    Darren Matthews finished in the top third of an extremely competitive AG at The Vitruvian in a time of 4:54:00. He then finished off the season with a top 20 overall at the Bodium Sprint in 1:16:00.

    deanhughesnewsletterIM Wales – Jo Gundle was agonisingly close to winning her age group in a time of 12:39:57  – only 5 sec behind the winner!  And just 2 weeks after IM Wales Jo came third overall female in the Votwo Olympic Eton Dorney.

    Chicago Age Group Standard – John Borton did an amazing job to make it on the start line after being hit by a car a few weeks ago.  Calf and wrist injuries and not to mention the physiological effects didn’t stop him getting to the finish line though –  2:05:14  – Well done and respect John!

    IM Mallorca – Duncan Haynes completed his first IM in a very impressive time of 10:55:56!

    dansalcedonewsletterKeith Ashworth has had a great season knocking 30mins off Olympic to go 2.34 and nearly 60mins off his 1/2 IM PB  going 5:04 in preparation for his first Ironman. At Ironman Maastricht after a strong swim/bike he had to battle through a really bad case of sickness for a 13:42.

    Also in Maastricht Glenda Goscomb booked her Kona slot with a 2nd AG coming in 12:39. In tough conditions at the World 70.3 Champs Glenda took a 24th with a 6:05 while taking 4th at IM Lanzarote. Glenda also achieved a very quick 2:23 50m TT this season too.

    After a long seasons racing in Chicago at the ITU World Age Groups Anne Jones was 16th in the Sprint and 31st in OD races. On top of this Anne has also had a 6th at the ITU Middle Distance in Rimini, 5th at the Eagleman in Maryland in a very quick 5:03, 6th at 70.3 UK (5.56),  7th at the European 70.3 Champs in Wiesbaden (5:43), 2nd at the British Age Group Sprint Champs (1:16), 2nd at the Diamond Tri (1:13) and 6th at the Little Beaver Olympic (2:44).

    Taco Brink had a great day out in Weymouth for 12th in AG (5:15) at the Challenge Half IM, he was 26th in London with a 2:28:23, 31st at the JLL Property Sprint Triathlon in 1:16:23 and 10th at Windsor in 1:36:18 and 52nd at the WTS London in 2:30:01.
